After 39 weeks of anticipation, we were excited to see the face of whom we had nurtured, communicated with, and loved in the womb. We are proud to announce that we are blessed with a beautiful healthy boy; whom we named Caleb Solomon Chilampath. Our son was born on March 17th at 11:52pm. He weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces with a length of 20.5 inches. When seeing our baby for the first time we were both overwhelmed with a great love and pride for our son. His face carried a sweet perfection with innocence like an angel. As parents, we are looking forward to teaching and raising Caleb into being a man that demonstrates dignity and character with a heart for God.

Caleb’s first name was chosen from the Bible. We chose the name, Caleb, because we liked the meaning behind the name-“faithfulness”. The individual from the bible was not so much a man of great faith as a man of faith in a great God. His boldness rested on his understanding of God, not on his confidence in man. He could not agree with the majority, for that would be to disagree with God. He was known for his faith in God’s promises, in spite of apparent obstacles.

Caleb’s middle name was chosen in memory of his late grandfather, Solomon Lukose Chilampath {October 24, 1945-October 4th, 2002}. He was a man who had lived his life with a love for his family and people. As the eldest son, in a family of six children, he was taught by his father on how to lead a family to the best of his ability and help others in times of need. Caleb’s grandfather also carried a sense of humor that would entertain a room full of people and practiced hospitality that made anyone feel welcome.

As we said earlier, we look forward to the responsibility to teach and raise Caleb into being a man that shines with dignity and character. We also continue to pray that Caleb will be raised into a man of God who has the boldness and the wisdom to stay faithful to God and others. Please continue to keep us in prayer for strength and wisdom as we take on this new role of parenthood.

Thank you all for your encouraging words and for showering Caleb with wonderful gifts. We look forward to introducing Caleb to each of you!!
